Oh, none of those are navy ranks? So restrictive.

Well, damn right I'm an able seabeast, but I will say that I'll do a much better job at being the master at arms when whatever dogcat or miniature badger you call your current master at arms inevitably gets what's coming to him due to his incompetance.

Oh, did he overhear that? Well, he is free to tell me what he thinks about it, he just needs to be close enough for me to hear, otherwise... I will come to him and ask him to repeat what he said.
