Open The Docks The Uncouth Arrival

Helskyge considered what he heard for a moment, sorting through what he could understand from Morgan and Swift's responses. After this, he responded in his tounge to Swift:

"Perhaps I have misjudged you, I have not heard of a fox taking such action on word of another. Perhaps, there is more to this world I need to learn."

After responding in this way, he then switched to Vulpinsulan to ask both Morgan and Swift the following: "You both worked on a ship? I... think that could be good work. Do you know when a ship may leave for that? I may join you."

Swifttail gave a small nod as Helskyge spoke, his ears tipping attentively. The words weren’t entirely clear, but he caught the gist of what he was saying.

Before he could ponder about how he would offer a reply, the wolf continued in Vulpinsulan, inquiring about joining the navy.

“Aye,” Swifttail said, tail giving a cheerful swish behind his chair. “I’m signed up to go back out with her on her next voyage.”

He turned slightly, glancing to Morgan with a warm, expectant look.

“Morgan…” he said, voice lifting inquisitively. “I assume you’ll be back?”

Then, with a soft laugh and a raise of his glass: “I say the more the merrier!”

Morgan nodded, carefully pulling aside her coat and lifting her shirt a few inches to show the bandage on her side. "Mr. Barrett took out the pipe right before we made harbor," she confirmed. "Another week, and I should be good for full military duty, I hope." She glanced to the wolf, adding, "It can be dangerous, but it's a good life. I've made truer friends on one trip than in the whole rest of my life."

The skink lady for her part was one happy with how those three now spoke. The atmosphere of the pub, the music, the alcohol... herself maybe, a combination of those clearly made them relaxed and more open. With her little task for today completed she now was more at leisure to get interested into those beasts... and maybe interest them in her too, just for a bit of fun.

Leaning onto the table with a smile and soft purr underlying her words, she mused to the one named Morgan. "I've always admired ssssailors and marines. You lot sssseem to have very harsh and unforgiving life... yet I rarely hear complains about the friendship and camaraderie." She slightly lowered her voice into a subtle murr while pointing at the bandages. "It is however life made for strong beasts, both in physique and character. Fuhuhu~" She giggled.
