PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Klemens is… very recognizable (but maybe it’s a good thing, he’s a musician, after all), to say the least. He’s tall, but not at all broad-shouldered or imposing. This fox has a scrawny build, it’s easy to notice that, and his posture is not perfect, either. He wasn’t exactly different in his youth, honestly, so his age has nothing to do with his appearance.
Klemens has mostly dark gray, somewhat silver-tinted fur with patches of red around his ears, neck and back. It’s sparse and bristly, even missing in some places, because Klemens still hasn’t completely recovered from a severe case of mange. Poor beast.
His eyes are of a striking amber color, like two tiny but bright flames. Klemens squints quite often, making himself look a bit sour even when feeling anything but. He has noticeably long canines — some beasts can’t even point out what animal he’s supposed to be because of this particular trait. Klemens doesn’t seem to notice that himself, though.
Klemens prefers simple clothing. His usual outfit consists of a long dirty green coat worn over a white linen undershirt, a piece of red cloth tied around his waist like a belt or a strange-looking skirt, and heavy dark leg wraps (not pants). Klemens’ rarely seen without very long gloves, and for a reason. When he was younger, a wealthy and easily offended passerby refrained from handing him a reward for his performance because of how cold his paws felt to her. Klemens may have forgotten the exact circumstances of the situation, but he still prefers to wear gloves.
PERSONALITY:
What is Klemens like? Even the beast himself can’t exactly answer this question. He doesn’t pay much attention to himself and his emotions… or anyone else, really. Most of the time, he acts all reserved and aloof, barely speaking unless it’s necessary. He isn’t a complete walking piece of wood, though. He simply prefers to hide his inner self and play the unfeeling one.
Dread and doom follow Klemens everywhere he goes, at least he believes this is true. He just can’t stop thinking about the many dangers this cruel world is full of. What if he gets struck by lightning out of nowhere? Slips, falls, hits his head and dies of blunt head trauma? Good grief… But sometimes, his cautiousness turns out to be appropriate.
Despite his usual fearfulness, Klemens can act rather determined and daring when the main concern is righteousness. He may have no sense of honor, as he himself often says, but he is not a dastard, either. Klemens’ methods, though… There is a reason why even the most dangerous criminals of the Slups avoid this street musician like the plague. He can and will abandon politeness in the name of justice. Just saying, this is certainly not a warning.
He is a rather humble beast and will politely reject any reward if offered one for anything other than musical performances (his main job). Klemens strongly believes that gifts and awards are for the weak-willed, for those who cling on to material possessions a bit too much and expect more, and more, and more. “Thank you” is enough for him to feel satisfied.
Another peculiar trait of his is that he can’t allow himself to lie. Like, literally can’t. He may omit certain elements of the truth, but he never changes them. Klemens is a bit too honest, it’s destroying him, as he just prefers to say what is right and not what is needed. He’d make a terrible spy, to be honest, but he has no intent of even trying it out, so we can’t really judge him in this case.

BIOGRAPHY:
Klemens was the only kit of Szymon and Katarzyna, two immigrants from a distant land who found a new home for themselves on Vulpinsula. He was born and raised in Bully Harbor, but he still keeps the memory of his ancestry alive, often speaking the language of the country so far-off but cherished.
Klemens’ early years and youth had been rather unremarkable, at least until the twelfth year of his life. His mother was a performer just like him, and she often traveled for a long time before coming back to her family. But one day, Katarzyna just didn’t return. Szymon became extremely protective of his son because of that and refused to allow Klemens to leave Bully Harbor unless it was necessary. But Klemens didn’t rebel, not at all, he simply accepted it as just another aspect of life, a universal rule.
Szymon couldn’t earn enough money to feed the family by himself, so Klemens had to take up a trade rather early. He began performing on the streets every day, playing his instrument and singing. The public’s interest was usually directed towards Klemens’ appearance and not his skills, but still, it was better than nothing.
But there were also those who genuinely appreciated his acts. One such beast was Eustace K., son of some local influential figures (exact details excluded for reasons). He was young, hot-blooded and foolish, very different from Klemens, who was already in his late thirties back then. Something about Klemens really fascinated Eustace, and he was probably the most devoted member of the musician’s audience. But Klemens thought that this adoration was just another fleeting passion of youth, so he didn’t really reciprorate much. Still, after all these years, he keeps the letters signed with “Þe Sterre” in red ink, which Eustace wrote a lot.
After his father’s death, Klemens became the sole denizen of their old family home. Not bound to anyone or anything anymore, he wishes to explore all kinds of faraway places, just like his mother did. He simply wants to find peace… peace at last. And to maybe, just maybe, find some younglings to mentor before leaving the world forever.
POSSESSIONS/REAL ESTATE:
Clothes and some other random rags.
His beloved instrument, a rather crude but sturdy hurdy-gurdy.
A letter by “Þe Sterre”, which he keeps in a separate pouch hidden in one of the inner pockets of his coat.
A coin purse.
A bunch of small sticks to chew on.
A sickle. He uses it in very specific cases…
—
A hovel in the Slups, a pretty unremarkable building overall.
