What would it take for Kaii to be happy and have a good life?
Being in an alternate universe where things went a bit better for him and where magic exists may be the answer.
Kaii/Arabelle (They are twins after all)

The main point of divergence (other than Magic that is.) Would be survival of his sister Arabelle (Arie for short). That would keep him much more mentally stable and socially adjusted. He would be slightly less collected and cool due to not having his emotions buried deeper than MinoMis catacombs, but he still would be about as smart and curiosity driven as he is.
Having Arie around would mean they would work together and be inseparable. Working together to restore their home and dynasty. Existence of magic would also mean Kaii delving into it a good amount as well as Arabelle. While he would work at control of metal and lightning, she would delve into heat and cold. Both are nerds after all. Kaii still would try to be an engineer, albeit one combining tech and magic. Arabelle would be more interested in flow of energies, making her possibly the only beast with genuine interest in Thermodynamics ever.
