Physical Description
Tal'Rakan has brunette, bordering light brown coat with many gray spots on it. His fur is immaculate but below it there are barely visible long scars from many wars he fought in. His eyes are emerald green and he had one of his fangs replaced with one made from silver. Long fur growing from his head is gathered into one long ponytail. He wears very unique clothing. History
Considered by his kind the greatest general of their time, Tal'Rakan had humble origins. He was not even born within The Nest of the Phoenix court. Coming from a small village he would've ended as most, either as a sacrifice to the Phoenixes or a serf.
But in his teens a group of heathens inspired by ideas brought by foreign traders raised arms to fight the Phoenix court. Rakan was levied to fight as a cannon fodder on the frontline to defend The Nest. To the surprise of himself and many, he survived. The Red Priests allowed him to join the warriors caste, bringing glory to his family.
As a result of this short lived rebellion, The Phoenixes forbid any foreigners to come into their lands. This of course brought an armed response from their traders and fleets. One that Tal'Rakan was now fighting against. He proved himself again and again, winning many battles by using unorthodox tactics, reliance on speed and importance of supply lines. He was promoted over and over and over until the Phoenixes themselves crowned him with a tiara of a general. He became the youngest of the command since he was merely twenty at the time.
The war came to an end and Phoenix court remained free. They didn't know that it was due to many horrific events among the other places in the world that they managed to win. They had in the end no clue about things like Revolution in Vulpine Imperium that was happening at the time.
Tal'Rakan spent next years quelling rebellions and preparing for the comeback of the foreigners. They were after their goods and he knew it. When a lone ship from the VI came near the shores, he was ready for anything but the cannons they've brought. Despite the presence of such devastating weapons. He managed to keep his people rallied and their onagers did manage to sink the ship.
He ordered to rescue as many foxes as it was possible and himself pleaded the Phoenixes to spare them from sacrificial pit for the sake of knowledge. After about a year he managed to learn their language as well as learning the truth about the state of the world. He felt the dreadful truth that the world was now progressing faster than The Phoenix court ever would. Afraid for his people he wished to reestablish diplomacy and trade, even if just for the sake of espionage and survival. The Phoenixes were against it... But soon they have died and were reborn into their new forms.
The new Phoenixes were young and impressionable, thus they have trusted Rakan's words once he repeated his plea and ordered him to visit the VI as a diplomat. He wasn't ready for it at all but he didn't question their will for a second and prepared for a journey. He took all the goods he once remembered were eagerly bought and took to the sea. His people using information obtained from the Foxes to find their way to their homeland. One arduous journey later, they've reached the Bouillabaisse Harbour. Here, a duty of a general ended. A duty of a voice of the Phoenixes will, begun.
