Lore Creation FAQ and Basic Template
What is lore?
Lore is essentially history and information that fills out a roleplaying world, and can be on a variety of topics ranging from as mundane as clothing to the composition and nature of entire armies and countries.
How does lore work on the Imperium?
The Imperium operates on a "levels" of canon system, much like how Star Wars does. The highest level of canon, seen as the official word of the administration and which overrules all over canon, is Official Lore, located in the appropriate forum. This includes all nations that will be included on the official map, when it is complete. The second level of lore is Approved Player Lore, which is what this forum handles, and the third level of lore is lore mentioned in threads, but not officially submitted to the player lore forum for approval. Generally, all the above are considered to be canon unless otherwise stated, but a higher level of lore will take precedence over a lower level of lore.
Can my Approved Player Lore rise to the level of Official Lore?
Yes, it can, but it is a somewhat lengthy process, albeit a fair one. You will have to expressly state you give the VI an unlimited license to use that lore, the head administrator will have to review it and give you additional guidelines, and then finally the Ministers will have to vote on it.
What about custom armor, personal technology, and weapons?
This is not the forum to submit those, eventually there will be a forum for custom armor, weapons, and personal technology.
