Michel heard the screams from behind him and dashed back to beneath the stage. He listened there for several moments, gleaning enough from the bits of conversation and exclamations he could hear to discern what was happening. Setting his lantern back down, he got to work once more, moving far more quickly than he had been. It seemed things had gone quite awry above, but even if he could not kill the Minister outright, he could at least take out whoever was on or near the stage in short order.

@Aiken Brudenell
Kilaris had begun, entirely unprompted, to list his most recent accomplishments to Aiken, stopping occasionally to ensure the stoat had recorded every minutiae he had uttered. And then there was a scream from the theater, and moments later a crowd rushed through the doors and into the atrium, clamoring about a body falling from the rafters. Unsmudgables closed around Kilaris, a Stealthblade relaying information to him. The rat grabbed for Aiken.
"My good reporter! Come with me! There is a situation to capitalize upon. It seems we have a mystery afoot, and I certainly would not want to be left out on my birthday."
With Unsmudgables on either side of them, the rat urged the stoat and his partner through the crowd.
