Open The Market A Vixen Stocks Up

Considering the words he just heard, Ivo on the inside became a bit wary. A beast signing up for the ship? He just heard Marianna asking about her relatives from the Hide but... he inherently had a problem with those sucking up to authorities with nothing to gain from it. But then again, he wasn't one to judge. His way was of freedom, but he couldn't deny, those who wished to do so, their right to give away their own.

Ivo thus focused on a new matter, how to utilise this new acquaintance. He wouldn’t sell them, not as long as Marianna wished to be their friend. But having an insider on The Hide? That brought to him many prospects that while nice, had to wait for now. Gently shaking his head with a chuckle Ivo spoke with a kind smile. "Ah, I see. Hope ya ain't gonna mind me stayin' ta listen."

Marianna, for her pat, stepped into Ivo's embrace, settling against him comfortably as they started to walk again. It was strangely comfortable, how well they fit together. "Don't mind him," she advised Kinza. "He might be a cad who will seduce you at the drop of a hat, but he knows how to keep his mouth shut. I've tested him on that enough." She looked up at him as she teased him, smiling as she brought her paw down to briefly pinch at the base of his tail. Serves you right for all the times you've grabbed mine.

She looked to Kinza, inquiring, "I'm so sorry, but you were saying something about joining the Hide once it's back? Do you know what position you'll be serving in at that point? Back in my father's day," she laughed lightly, "it was fairly well known that a small bribe would get you all the way up through the enlisted ranks to chief petty officer. I recall reading a historical roster, and something like sixty percent of the navy were chief petty officers. I think they've cracked down on that since."
