General Information
Age: 30
Species: Badger
Size: Large
Gender: She/They (working out prefers they on the day-to-day, likes she when choosing to wear a dress/specific situations)

Physical Description
A Mielvillan badger (for reference European badger), Till is about your average size for a sow. They typically like to wear a practical pocketed smock and apron/toolbelt combination. For special occasions they will wear dresses if in the mood and then will accept and be pleased by the ‘she’ pronoun. Till isn’t too fussed if anyone gets it wrong/the times are still too early, as they have been a she so long and are reasonably comfortable, but ‘they’ just feels more right, you know? They are fairly round from sampling so much of their own cooking but their travel has helped somewhat with this and they hope the busy life on a ship will help balance things.

Inventory and Real Estate
Their best set of cooking pans.
A few books.
Letters from family and friends back in Gentilruisseau.
Hoping for lodgings on board a ship as cook.

Personality
Till is strong-willed but gentle. They have a hardy moral compass although they balance that with the laws they must follow and the limits of their intelligence. They can be known to have a motherliness to them, but strongly dislike being treated as if that is their main purpose. They are a natural caregiver with a desire for more noise than back in the place they used to call home. They will fight to protect those they respect, not always physically, often with firm defiance. They very much enjoy reading almost as much as cooking and will spend any earnt gilders on acquiring books or extra ingredients for the kitchen. Till disapproves of the Imperium’s use of currency, however they also will learn to understand that such a large society can’t rely solely on bartering and goodwill to get what they need.

Strengths
Loyalty. Physical strength – they’re a badger. Despite weaknesses mentioned below, if you hurt them enough, they have the potential to go into a violent rage against their opponent. Exceptional cook, will be even better with time. Reading comprehension. Pretty much bilingual. They’re a good beast in a crisis and able to handle more delicate and sensitive situations peers may find themselves in when it comes to physical or emotional matters.

Weaknesses
Doorframes (unless barging through one). Though Till is wise, they can be muddled by complicated conversation and likely manipulated. That does not mean they won’t suspect they are being, but given that they won’t understand some situations, they can be misguided by a cleverer beast. Till respects authority, but occasionally they might get themselves into trouble if they take umbrage with something they deem particularly unfair. This might be a strength depending on the situation. They are soft-hearted and sensitive in certain situations. They are not an adept fighter and anyone especially skilled is liable to be able to hurt them if they can avoid a swinging pan and a bulk of badger. Despite it mentioned as a strength above, if Till “raged” it would leave them even more vulnerable as they would not care about defending themselves once the feeling took hold.

History
Hailing from Mielville, a protectorate of Alkamar, it’s the story of big badger seeks big city. Tilly “Till” Dupré (a contraction of ‘of the meadow’) grew up in the harmonious village of Souriclair. Mostly harmonious, anyway. Mielville has to donate a lot of its resources to Alkamar instead of paying monetary taxes as the woodlanders of Souriclair do not use currency and require Alkamar’s help to stay safe from a technologically advancing, aggressive world. Till grew bored of the quiet life and the expectations of their people, seeking something more with their talents.

By their 27th season they went travelling and found their way to Mossflower where they learnt the language there that was in common with Vulpinsulan, paying their way with their cooking and other wisdoms. Curiosity about the advancing world and the discovery of more ingredients for their art, as well as hopefully making a name for themselves as a cook, Till bought passage to the Imperium in search of building a future and a steady job.
