Personality
Sean has a quiet intensity to him, a wariness that seems to regard everyone around him as a potential threat. Having spent so long being hunted for nothing more than his name, he finds it hard to trust the good intentions of those around him, being certain that a frying pan to the back awaits him the moment he lets his guard down. He wants nothing more than a quiet, peaceful life, but fears that, even if he gets it, he won't be able to enjoy it.
Strengths
Sean has a very particular set of skills honed by the need to survive. As Beat-a-Sean Day grew more violent during the troubled years of the Brudenell Regime and the Civil War, with several Sean Hunters seeking to wet their frying pans in the blood of the most noteworthy Seans, Sean Wicke was forced to adapt, going to ever greater lengths to survive and to turn the game on those who took it too far. A normal participant in Beat-a-Sean Day might find themselves concussed with their own frying pan; for those who hunted Seans out of true bloodthirsty malice, however, he reserved his full attention and little mercy.
Weaknesses
Sean is tormented by the knowledge of the monster that he's become, and lives in isolation because of it. He dares not get close to anyone, to have a family or close friends, lest they either discover his true name and turn on him for it, or they be targeted for their proximity to him. While his skills are impressive, many of those who hunt him are just as specialized, if not more so. Age and a lifetime of injuries are catching up to him slowly, and he fears the day when he will finally be cornered by his enemies on the last Beat-a-Sean Day in history.
History
Sean was born to an immigrant family who, on coming to the Imperium with their infant son, did not realize the hellish gauntlet of violence to which he would be subjected for the remainder of his life. In preschool, once per year, he was viciously set upon by his classmates with the encouragement of their teacher. Throughout grade school he was relentlessly physically abused by his classmates every Beat-a-Sean Day, and verbally abused all the others instead. Swiftly Sean realized his options were threefold: run away and change his name; go into hiding; or master the skills to prevent him from being the victim. By the time he graduated from his painful stay at boarding school, he had his plan.

First, he sought out Captain Sean C. Waters of the BlackShip and, prior to his death, trained in secret under the senior Sean, learning the skills of self-defense and endurance. From the famed Sean S. Seanwood he learned the skills of escape, disguise, and opportunism. Finally, he enlisted in the marines, enduring the annual hazing of his fellows, both to refine his skills further and to seek out the mentorship of the greatest and longest-living Sean: Sean Shaun Shaughnessy, who, due to a clerical error on the part of His Majesty's Royal Marines, was technically the only beast in history to hold the rank of "Seangent". It was under the tutelage of this final Sean that Sean Wicke was refined into a beast capable of turning back the tide of festive terror unleashed upon all of their name. He uttered a quiet oath to eliminate the holiday the only way he knew how: by hunting those who mercilessly hunted his kind.

The next three decades saw slow progress toward this goal. One by one, other Seans fell to the onslaught, sometimes singly, sometimes in groups. Sean remembered them all: the Seanterhouse Five, the Sean of the Dead, even the Last Seanmurai. For all of them, Sean enacted slow, painful revenge. His particular set of skills found work the rest of the year as an assassin for hire, dispassionately resolving grudges; however, each year on Beat-a-Sean Day he went into the streets, hunting the hunters and eliminating the worst. By 1760 the holiday was nearly dead, mostly due to a lack of any known Seans to target, but also due to rumors circulating among the AffecSeanados, as the die-hard devotees of the holidays called themselves, that there was a Sean out there who was fighting back. The group went quiet, inactive but far from disbanded or forgotten.

It's been five years since the last publicly celebrated Beat-a-Sean Day, but Sean has never forgotten, and never rested easy. Living under an alias, he dreads the day his identity will inevitably be exposed, and he shall be forced into a fight for his survival once more.
