Always projecting as if he’s speaking to a live audience. He's charming, manipulative, and unashamedly self-aggrandizing, often using his wit and charisma to talk his way out of trouble...or deeper into it. Deeply distrustful of official narratives, he believes in satire as a tool of truth.
Backstory
Ruffano Quickwhistle grew up in the wings of a rundown theater, raised by a seamstress single mother and the ghost of showbiz dreams. Unlike many of his peers, his father is still alive, having chosen the life of a deadbeat fading into the brothels of obscurity. By his mid-twenties, he had risen to moderate fame in the Actor’s Guild, but his penchant for politically biting satire and undermining official scripts made him a target of the Ministry of Niceties.
Eventually, he was formally expelled from the Guild for “corrupting public trust in validated truth.” With nowhere else to go, Ruffano drifted into obscurity until he uncovered a strange crate buried in the crawlspace of a disused theater.
Inside was a magnetic wire recording device and several dozen reels labeled only with symbols. Upon playing one, he heard:
"Hello and welcome, this is Rex Plushpaw, with your episode of the Vulpine Imperium Radio Show..."
It was unmistakably the voice of Rex Plushpaw from the original VIURS. A forbidden relic of unfiltered absurdity.
Ruffano now views the Unauthorized Radio Show as a sacred archive of dangerous truths and satire too raw for the Imperium’s control. He has vowed to revive the show and continue the show where Rex left off.
