Physical Description
Small red fox. Very skinny and shorter than most. Visibly a runt due to thin limbs and petite size. Other than that, due to their (albeit minor) noble origin, they take great care of own's fur, tail and paws... most of the time. Occasionally (whenever they get inspired) can be seen in almost worrying state. Not very pronounced feminine traits make them Androgynous
Wears elegant dress top and loose trousers. Covers themself with oversized, albeit very elegant coat. Also puts on a long scarf that to an extend doubles as a cape. Enjoys wearing jewellery and can be most often seen with rings, bracelets, earrings and more.

History
Marie Deftclaw was born during turbulent times to a rather minor nobility. Their family were just a small landowners who luckily sided on the winning side of the civil war. Living from the work of the peasants on their land, they were decently affluent and their rural holdings in southern Vulpinsula weren't really affected by war.
Marie was from their very birth weak, sickly and small. Among their (quite numerous) siblings, they were expected to not survive long. But luck decided otherwise. By sheer miracle Marie lived and survived all that the world threw at her. That however left them even more of runt then they were. Marie was four when she started walking, six when they managed her first word. If it wasn't for their parents, ones who loved them dearly as any other child of theirs, they would not get a chance at life.
But one thing made Marie exceptional. Sitting at house incapacitated made them turn to whatever they could do inside. So Marie played on the piano. Countless hours they spent on it, making them great even by an early age.
And when combined with self-perceived uselessness, dislike for their meek voice and underdeveloped appearance, Marie chose for music to be their language, their joy and passion. Managing to ask their parents to organize concerts, Marie became a small novelty among the local landowners. They were not just great at playing known music but also slowly developing their own.
Granted, whenever anyone spoke to them, Marie could only scurry away. Anxiety stopped them from managing any social or business relationships, outside of their family that is.
Marie grew up learning more instruments, doing her best to master them all. Not just because they loved music, they needed it to express themselves in any way. Soon their family accepted simply to take in melodic notes of flute of strings as answers from Marie instead of words.
But as Marie came of age, their family expected of them to earn their part. In final act of support, they've arranged transport and living for Marie in Bouillabaisse Harbor, as well as small stipend, giving them best opportunity to grow and become meaningful musician.
Marie came to BH scared and anxious, but ambition, and ability to de facto start among those who knew nothing about their weaknesses from childhood, made Marie, or as they decided Whisper, to take this shaky step into their new life.
