DESCRIPTION:

A young brown-furred ratmaid with few defining characteristics, typically dressed in a white shirt and dark trousers, or else her navy uniform. She keeps herself pretty tidy looking, with a reputation for cleanliness owing to her upbringing in the restaurant business back home.

Unlike much of her family, Hasel is actually pretty capable in a fight, and wears her cutlass proudly whenever she can.

BIOGRAPHY:

A third-generation von Jeves searat, Hasel's grandfather came to the Imperium and joined the Navy while down on his luck, and left the Navy (some say deserted) with a wide collection of borrowed money with which to start an ultimately successful restaurant (specializing in a dish supposedly 'famously' named for his parents, Pete and Za von Jeves) in the notoriously touristy town of Kenny's Bunk Pointe. A wife and kits soon followed, and most of the next generation of von Jeves rats would later head off to join the Navy to journey in their father's footsteps. Not all of them were quite so lucky (desertion is a serious offense, and loans are considerably harder to find for rats with the von Jeves surname, now), but always had a place to fall back to in southern Vulpinsula if things got hairy.

Hasel's parents did rather well until the war, though this provided a great opportunity for her father to vanish back into civilian life to spend time with his wife and kits. She has her own ideas of how to succeed in life, hoping to make a name for herself in the service.

POSSESSIONS:

The rat doesn't really own much of her own, just her sword, harmonica, and a bundle of clothes and other personal effects. Back at Kenny's Bunk Pointe, she's always welcome at the von Jeves family home and restaurant.
