It was near sunset on the seas- with the Red Fleet just far enough away to not be spotted by anyone on the mainland. Tucked away in a litte cove, hidden from prying eyes. The six ships were positioned in such a way that they could escape the cove immediately if they were discovered. It was on the Ogre's Eyes where Chokra was sitting at his desk, in his personal quarters, as a veritable feast was laid out before him. Two seagulls that had been roasted on a spit, along with coconut milk and some mangoes from the island. He smiled and he rang a bell. One of the crew members came lumbering into the room, an abnormally large gray fox.NOTICE- This scene borrows lyrics from 'Just A Man (Antinous Ver.)' by Ayron Alexander.

"Hugo." Chokra nodded. "Can ye please go and escort our guest to me quarters?" He asked pleasantly.
Hugo scratched his head. "Erm... yew mean da prisoner?"
Chokra's smile faded in an instant. "No. Hugo. Our guest. She is our GUEST. Do you understand that? She is to be treated with the same respect you would treat me."
"But, er, Cap'n... we don't lock yew in yer room-"
"JUST BRING HER HERE!" Chokra slammed his fist on the table. "And..." He sighed. "Treat her real gentle-like, Hugo. This is a lady, after all." Chokra rubbed his forehead. Hugo was... special. Chokra knew he needed to go easy on him.
Hugo departed from the cabin, and sometime later, the door was opened as Marit Darkhide walked in. Marit was a beautiful brown furred vixen with amber eyes. A fox after Chokra's own soul. She was wearing an equally beautiful blue silk gown.
"Marit, please sit. Have dinner with me." Chokra motioned to the other chair. "The chef cooked up deez seagulls just fer the two of us."
Marit almost floated forward, that was how effortlessly she seemed to walk. Chokra was smitten with her, smiling again as she sat down across from him.
"I trust dat Hugo treated ye well?" Chokra started to cut into his seagull.
Marit was unresponsive. She simply took her silverware and started to cut into her meal as well.
"Still givin' me der silent treatment, eh, love? It's alright. I get it, yer upset wif me." Chokra took a big bite of seagull meat. "Hell's Teeth! Could use a bit of salt 'n' pepper on dis." He went to grab the salt shaker. "Ye know... I did find Silvertongue. On der mainland."
Marit froze, the silverware slipping from her paws and clattering onto the table. The color had completely drained from her face.
Chokra cackled. "He ain't here, Marit. He managed to slip from between me fingers and join up wit' der bleedin' Navy." He scoffed. "Der boy's either smart or beyond stupid. I ain't decided which yet."
Marit seemed to recover, and she grabbed her utensils. She seemed to be struggling to cut herself a portion of seagull.
"Sorry, love. I can't trust to give ye a proper knife after the incident. How are yer arms doin', anyhow? Dey seem ter have healed up." Chokra got up from his seat, and he walked over, using his knife to cut Marit's seagull dinner for her. He looked into her eyes and smiled. "Have I already told ye how beautiful ye are?"
Marit nodded silently.
Chokra smirked. "I look into yer eyes... and I.... think the world could be all mine." He placed his paw on hers. "Radiant as yew were, when he died at war."
Marit said nothing, but tears started to well in her eyes.
Chokra lifted his paw up to wipe her tears away. "Even after all these years, ye can still shed tears for a ghost- when I'm standing here?" He stepped behind her, and he placed his paws over her eyes. "Close yer eyes, and just picture the view. How I'd adore yew~" He let his paws cup her cheeks, before resting them on her shoulders.
Marit jerked herself away, and Chokra sighed, turning and looking at his portrait on the wall. "I'm just a fox who's fightin' fer a home. Even after ALL the years of 'ardships that I've known."
Chokra stared at himself in the painting. "I'm just a fox, who's selfish, cruel and vain. Deep down, I know only yew could ever ease the pain. I'm just a fox..."
He placed a paw on the wall, leaning on it for support. "But... ye could have had me." He growled, his free paw curling up into a fist. "All these years we ached, yew could have had me! Yew still could have me!" He slammed his fist into the wall, and Marit stood from her spot at the table, and alarmed look on her face. Chokra turned to her, fury in his eyes.
"But when, will I be good enough for yew?!" He stalked forward, grabbing the table. "Must I become a monster?!" He tossed the table aside, sending the contents of the food flying in every direction. Marit turned and fled from Chokras cabin, running back to her room on the ship.
In Chokras cabin, the captain was on his knees, slamming his fist into the floor. "Be mine, MARIT!" He yelled.
Marit had retreated to her room, and collapsed on her knees, looking up at the painting on the wall. It was of her family. Her husband, her two sons. All of them dead or missing to her now. "Forgive me..." She said shakily, tears spilling from her eyes.
"Be MINE, Maaariiit!" Chokra continued his wailing, gripping his head as he rocked back and forth.
In her room, Marit reached under her bed, grabbing a loose floorboard and pulling it aside, to reveal a dagger hidden away. She pulled it out, and she looked out the window, as the sun was setting on the horizon. "Forgive meeee..."
"BE MIIIINE, MARIIIIIIT!" Chokra roared, gripping his shirt and tugging at it until it was torn in two, as he writhed about as if in physical pain.
"Forgive meeeeeeeee..." Marit said softly, raising the dagger high and aiming it at her chest before closing her eyes.
"I'm just a fox..."
