Introduction
Welcome, friend, to the Vulpine Imperium! This guide will walk you through all the essentials you need to know to get started on the VI and to begin roleplaying. Make sure to read through it all so you understand, generally speaking, the setting and how to properly build a character.
The Rules
To get started on the VI, the head administrator suggests that one first starts with the rules, hyperlinked below, in the following order. This is so that you understand and agree to everything before getting started on the site and to make sure our community fits your needs. These rules can also be found in the site’s navigation bar under the “rules” tab.

Template, Approval Process, and How To Get Started
The Character Creation Template
For your convenience the VI has a standard character creation template that you can easily use to make your character, which will be hyperlinked below. You can feel free to stylize this template however you want as long as all the elements are included. You can then post your character under the Character Creation forum, using the thread prefix “Under Review”.
The Approval Process
Generally speaking, if you have followed all the rules and stuck to the character creation template, your character will be swiftly approved by a Minister. If there is some kind of issue you need to address, the Minister will let you know by posting in the thread.
How do I make alternate characters (eg Alts) ?
Go to the paperclip icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then click create sub account.
You can then create an account by going to “create new account”.
You can then access and login as your sub account through either of those two tabs.
You can also view who owns what character by going to the about section on their profile.
Okay I’ve created my main character and alts. How do I get started?
First, I would recommend joining the Official VI Discord, to get help, find various roleplay partners, and other things. For our friends in countries where Discord is banned, a chatbox and general RP planning board is in the works, but will not part of the initial 1.0 release.
A good suggestion as of the 1.0 release is to have your character join the Navy as that is one of the core pillars of the roleplaying experience of the site. You can do this by going to the Ships forum, finding your preferred ship, and applying to join.
You can also start or join RP threads in the “Bilge In the Bucket” forum which contains all general non-ship roleplaying. For particularly important threads you can check the Thoroughfare and you can check the prefixes to see who is allowed to join.
Eventually, as the site gets more members, you will be able to join one of the official Imperium land-based factions run by the Ministers, though this is presently scheduled a way off and is only in play on a provisional basis.
